I had a lot of fun designing my daughter's big girl room. It was the first transition from her nursery in our first home. She was four years old - now 9(!!), and felt pretty special. I had her help me pick out her wallpaper and we ended up with paper that was very fitting to her! She loves nature and to be outside and the paper felt very magical on her walls. I remember her saying that when she laid on her bed and looked around her room it felt like she was living in her dreams. Which was the sound of success for me.
The walls were very colorful and busy so I wanted to juxtapose that with clean straight lined furniture all in white with feminine white linen bedding. The bed pillows I found are a beige and white mud cloth to add some subtle pattern and added a mongolian fur pillow for texture. For the light I used a natural wood chandelier to play into the natural whimsical vibe. Her room was a place she loved to play, read, daydream and create in, it was all things Presley and we loved it!
